About us
Over the past few decades, the investigation of the dynamics of the charge-excitation spectrum became increasingly important, given its role in obtaining relevant information about the nature of several ground states that are of interest in modern solid-state-physics research. The investigation of the optical response is complementary and alternative to studies with other probes, including transport and thermodynamic measurements and techniques based on spectroscopic methods like photoemission. Nowadays, it is possible to study a very broad spectral range of the excitation spectrum, therefore addressing various energy scales, which are essential for a full understanding of the properties of the investigated materials.
